UCMed CELEBRATES PHILIPPINE HEART MONTH 2024

UCMed Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center and Heart Center commemorated Philippine Heart Month with various engaging activities to spread awareness about the importance of heart health.

Alongside the events, UCMed also extended an offer of a 10% discount to all Outpatient Cardio-Diagnostic Services from February 1–February 29, 2024.

CEREMONIAL OPENING

Spearheaded by Ms. Yaziel Den Dungog, head nurse of the Cardio-Diagnostic Center, the month-long celebration kicked off with an Opening Ceremony and educational exhibits at the UCMed Lobby on February 1, 2024.

The attendees were serenaded during a heartfelt prayer with a solemn violin performance by Ms. Herma Darien M. Pamplona.

Dr. Marjorie Chris Arong, Head of the Cardio-Diagnostic Center, and Dr. Eduardo Lee, Assistant Chief of Clinics, graced the occasion with opening remarks and an inspirational message, respectively, highlighting the center’s dedication to patient-centric care and expressing gratitude to patients for their trust.

A lively Zumba session led by the Cardio-Diagnostic Center Team added a burst of energy as a way of promoting physical activity as the cornerstone of cardiac health.

LOVE DAY CELEBRATION

On February 14, 2024, as love filled the air on Valentine’s Day, the center continued its mission of heart care and well-being. In the morning, Mr. Ryan from Cardio Diagnostic Center commenced the day with opening remarks, denoting the importance of preventive care and early detection.

Patients and UCMed employees were offered free cardiac consultations, blood pressure, cholesterol checks, random uric acid tests, and sugar tests.

A highlight of the day was that attendees also had the opportunity to witness the center’s state-of-the-art Treadmill Machine for a sample demonstration of the Treadmill Stress Test, guided by Dr. Marjorie Arong.

VALENTINE’S DAY TREATS

In the spirit of Love Day, the afternoon radiated with appreciation as UCMed expressed gratitude to their beloved employees. UCMed shared sweet treats of donuts as a token of heartfelt recognition of their valuable dedication and passion, which set hearts aglow with joy.

Entirely, the month-long celebration of heartfelt gestures serves as a reminder that love comes in many forms and is shown in different ways. UCMed demonstrated its commitment to expanding healthcare for all, which paved the path toward a healthier heart and a happier community.
